Shopping Dollars Program

All families enrolled in St. Michael School agree to participate in the Shopping Dollars Program. During the 2009-2010 school year, each family has pledged to purchase a minimum of $250 per month in Shopping Dollars (or $2500 over the school year) or pay the "buy-out option." Monthly family progress reports tracking a family's purchases is sent by e-mail. If you have not provided your e-mail address, please do so as soon as possible. If you do not receive a monthly progress report, please alert Nancy Keller.

There are two types of Shopping Dollars, "Daily Stocked" and "Special Order" certificates and gift cards. Daily Stocked Shopping Dollars are the most commonly purchased items (such as ShopRite) and are available daily. Special Order Shopping Dollars are ordered monthly.

At the beginning of the school year each family is provided with a Shopping Dollars Envelope that is used to send an order and payment into School. Daily Stocked Shopping Dollars are returned in the envelope on the same day. Each family also receives a Schedule listing ordering deadlines and delivery dates for the Special Order Shopping Dollars. These orders usually take a couple days to be filled. This year we are requiring that we be notified within 48 hours of any problems or we will not be responsible for replacements of the cards.

Stocked Shopping Dollars
Stocked Shopping Dollars are available for purchase daily and include many local grocery, department and fast food stores. All of these gift cards or certificates can be used anywhere in the U.S. A copy of the order form can be downloaded for your ordering convenience.

Special Order Shopping Dollars

Many more retail stores and restaurants are available on a monthly basis. The School orders these gift cards from Great Lakes Scrip, www.glscrip.com. We list the most popular requests on our order form, which can be downloaded for your convenience. Any additional retail stores may be added to our order form at any time.
